Orange is a quality colour.
Red is good and yellow is alright, but there is something more inspiring, warm, energetic and intriguing with orange.
Orange – A real cad of a colour.
One minute charming, witty and successful, the next warm, sexy and sociable. Orange mixes with the colder more serious, traditional business colours with ease – Blues and greens, greys and blacks. Orange is talented, broad and welcoming, it’s all the colours between pure red and pure yellow. Orange stimulates you into activity, it appeals to your appetite and it encourages you to communicate and engage. Orange is the Tony Robbins of colours.
Orange – The colour of the people
On the one hand Orange is the colour that welcomes millions of the decent hard-working men, women and children – families – into DIY stores, supermarkets, electrical retailers and bike shops. On the other, Orange is flown and trusted by millions to whisk them efficiently and safely off to far flung places. Orange presents people with opportunities.
Orange – Respect and Integrity
Simple question. Who do you trust? Reuters or the BBC? No contest. Businesses large and small flock to the serious players like Reuters and the FT for bang up to the minute information. Not the red tops, not even the broadsheets weald anyway near the same influence. Massive decisions rest on the back of information provided by the orange (not pink) brands.
Orange – The swiss army knife of colours
Orange can multitask in all situations. Orange is safe and visible. Orange guides you effortlessly through the contraflows. Orange keeps our hardworking construction firms from harm whilst rebuilding our countries infrastructure and creating landmarks. There is good reason for Orange being the Hi Viz colour of choice. You stand out in Orange.
Orange – What other colour can make you see in the dark?
What other colour can you eat, smell, touch, share and make juice from. And while we’re at it what other colour actually has vitamins in it that stop you getting flu. What other colour makes greens more appetising? And putting carrots aside, why do you think the world is lit orange during the dark hours? You guessed it, because orange is the obvious choice when natural light fades. No other colour can do all this.
Standing on the shoulders of Orange, now that’s where you want your digital marketing
Inevitably some people will dislike orange – no doubt you’ll let me know here. According to cynics orange has a ‘Marmite’ effect on some people. In my experience I’ve found that if you hate orange you are clearly an ignoramous. However, I do concede that orange may not be for everyone. And there may even be a few places that Orange shouldn’t be used for example – You should never have an orange car (unless of course it’s a classic Porsche 911). And you should probably never where an orange suit. Other than that anything goes.
In short Orange is bold but not arrogant, confident but not pushy and in truth, Orange doesn’t actually care what you think about it. That’s how good a colour it is.
Orange, a real gentleman of a colour.

“Orange is red brought nearer to humanity by yellow.” – Kandinsky
